[skill]Mend Ailment[/skill]
Condition removal in real life ftw. Illness, disease? Gone. It even covers deep wounds, bleeding and burning with a health boost. Or:
[skill]Protective Spirit[/skill]
Provided you saw or sensed the possibility of danger, the cast time would make this good as well. Bullets, crashes, falls what have you. Get up, brush yourself off and walk away.
I really have to go with Mend Ailment though. Disease gets you in the end, and the ability to stop most wounds and get healed should get you through most things. In fact you survive and heal from anything that doesnt kill you outright. Resses are of course great, and that is a great choice, possibly the best choice, especially if you lose a loved one or wish to set a tragedy right, but you cant use it on yourself, so in the end it doesnt do you much good. Preserving the health of you and your loved ones, even healing them a bit, with one skill, a pretty darned good thing. Marry someone with Prot Spirit though lol.
Many people are going with offensive things, but prot and heals ftw.

Umm...
Spiteful Spirit. Considering people wouldn't know it was on them, they would slowly die. It is like a hex spell that real witches use, if you believe in that stuff.

Ward against melee, then I'd go out and pick a fight with a huge mob of people and kick them in the kneecaps while they slogged around with befuddled looks on their faces. Aggression problem much?
